Our statement regarding our software being detected as a virus/trojan
MyParadoxTech software is sometimes flagged as a potential threat by antivirus software, but these are usually false positives, meaning that it is not actually malicious.
This is because the utility can reveal sensitive information, which some antivirus programs misinterpret as malicious activity.
So far, it has often been detected as "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml
![]() |
SAM software detected as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml |
![]() |
The installation software is also detected as "Program:Win32/Wacapew.C!ml" this is also one of the false positives |
If Windows Defender detects "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml", it is likely a false positive related to machine learning, but it is important to take action to keep your system safe.
"Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml":
This is a type of trojan malware, meaning it pretends to be legitimate software but can be used to compromise your system.
Wacatac Trojan:
This malware can steal sensitive information, such as logins, passwords, and financial details, and cause significant damage.
The !ml suffix:
"!ml" indicates that the detection is likely based on machine learning, which can sometimes lead to false positives.
This false positive issue has been going on for several years now, and we have tried our best to rebuild the coding and refactor it, so that AV does not detect any malicious code or activity in our software.
However, this misunderstanding issue must be clarified, so that it does not affect the reputation of our software products.
For that, we would like to clarify here, that our software is safe and free from malicious activity. If any of our software is detected as a virus or trojan. Please reach us at e.zainaza [at] gmail.com or send those file at https://www.virustotal.com
